For some of us, working from home is par for the course. For others, it’s a whole new world that’s taking quite a bit to get used to.
Whether you’re experienced in the art of working from home or new to this style of work, we’re all trying to succeed in this uncertain time. If you’re new to this unchartered territory of lost somewhere in between feeling the need to get dressed and put on makeup everyday and work from the couch with your laptop on your chest like a sea otter, welcome. And rest assured, you can do both.
I’ve been working from home, full-time, for almost two years (sharing my wfh tips here) and have found a few office essentials that help me maintain my sanity and help me to be as productive as possible.
web-cam cover slide // To date, my best wfh investment. This handy tool provides me with the peace of mind I need as I live behind my screen. Make sure when you’re adhering the slide to your screen you don’t cover the green light!
mini led clock // Clients or offices in different time zones? This little guy is super helpful.
blue light blocking glasses // A must-have for making it through all this screen time. I also love this pair. These help block blue light from screens but are not an alternative to taking screen-free breaks! Don’t forget to get up from your screen every once in awhile – I know it’s not easy (I’m the #1 offender) but it’s important.
lubricated eye drops // Even with breaks, the eye strain struggle is real. After testing a handful of drops you all suggested, I found these to be the best for relieving that dry eye sting and redness.
gel enhanced seat cushion // I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel a little silly ordering this but with all the time I’ve been spending at my desk, I’m looking to invest in anything that provides comfort and support. With over 11k 5-star reviews, I figured I’d give this thing a shot.
