By popular demand, I welcome you to The Monthly Edit: An edited list of the best 10 (or so) things I’ve found during the month. These are closet staples, beauty products, home decor items, etc that I actually own and I think you should own too. For now, these lists will not include any sponsored content. This list is the real deal, fam.
A camel dress coat is a must-have in any 20-30 something working woman’s closet. I’ve had this one for about 4 years now and I wear it 3-4 times a week from September-December and again from March-April. It’s a timeless piece that can be worn to work or dressed down for a date night in heeled boots or a weekend brunch in sneakers. I suggest spending a little more than you normally would for the quality so you’re not buying a new one each season.
Cookbook or coffee table book? At $35, this would make the perfect hostess holiday gift for anyone looking to add a few recipes into their repertoire or anyone looking to add to their collection of coffee table books. I initially bought this book for the coffee table appeal but it’s made a few appearances in the kitchen because of recipes like Rosemary Garlic Bread and Meringue-Raspberry Bars.
Before spending a small fortune on one of these gold pendant necklaces, I wanted to test out the style to see if I was into it as much as I thought I’d be. I found this one on Amazon for $17 and have been wearing it ever since.
Another classic wardrobe staple and a great option to wear under your new camel coat! This is another piece I have in multiple colors on heavy rotation.
These cables have the quality of an Apple product but the price of an Amazon basic product. They’re 6 feet long, come two to a pack, and don’t show that annoying “Accessory may not be supported by device” error message. I own three packs.
I’d been eyeing the Free People version of this boot for well over a year when I found these dupes for $33 at Target. At $166 below the FP price tag, I bought them in two colors and called it a day. And, yes! They’re comfy! I haven’t had any issues with either pair digging into the back of my ankle.
I’ve been in the market for a new robe for awhile now but didn’t want to settle on quality, cozy-factor, color, or length. I found this one at Target for $39, sized up, and got everything I wanted. Even pockets!
I was a die-hard Too Faced Better Than Sex girl until Nars sent me this Climax mascara a few months ago. I was a convert after the first use. While the price tag is about the same, it’s more build able than BTS and less chunky. It still has that full lash effect while still being feathery. 100% recommend.
I did not want to like this product. I was super skeptical and thought it was a fad that would die out after the holidays but after using it during a day of travel, I did a hard pivot. This is as good as everyone says it is. Yes, really. I use a dime-sized amount as daily moisturizer under my SPF and a quarter-sized amount before bed. My skin has never looked better.
