I’m the queen of drugstore beauty. Thee queen. I never understand those people that spend more on products that claim to do the same thing as a less expensive version you can find at your corner drugstore. Welp, that’s until I tried a few more expensive items that, quite literally, changed my world. Possibly the most pivotal has been drybar’s dry shamp.
A few months ago, I wrote about my love affair with dry shampoo & named drybar’s ‘detox’ dry shampoo [for blondes & brunettes] as one that reigned over all. Since then, I’ve been having quite a time dealing with build up from the shampoos I’ve been using & was referred back to the drybar line. In all honesty, I’d stayed away based on the slightly higher prices than the shamps that line the aisles at CVS but I should have known better after my magical experience with their dry shampoo. After a week of using their shampoo + conditioner duo & making sure that all drybar products are 100% cruelty free, I can happily say that I’ve finally found a product line that I am completely happy with. In my book, drybar is officially voted “best hair care”. Next on my list – their styling products!
Speaking of ‘Best of’ categories, Washington City Paper is hosting quite the soiree this Wednesday evening & I’m hopeful that YOUwill be able to join ME! WCP’s Best Of DC will feature an incredible night of food, music, and mingling with the restaurants, mixologists and more local businesses that were voted best in D.C. in their fields. You know, those little ‘Best Of DC’ stickers & plaques hanging in your favorite restaurants & bars? They’ll all be there.
