spring jackets

Has spring sprung? I have cute jackets to wear.

Seriously, though. These dusters and cropped denim jackets aren’t going to wear themselves.

Right after I clear the last 4 inches of snow we’re currently under I might just pack up my hoodies and start wearing denim jackets to work in hopes of warmer weather.

Did anyone just catch me talking about wearing a denim jacket to work!? My, how the times have changed.

Speaking of jackets you’ll be wearing all summer, have you seen the latest from Old Navy? They’ve got a great assortment of denim jackets and anoraks (short and long!) and they’re all under $60 + use code SWEET for an additional 20% off!

Now is also a great time to update that trench coat you’ve been hanging on to since college. Yes, I’m looking at you.

There’s nothing wrong with holding on to old favorites but I’m willing to bet your salary at the time of that purchase might have been a little less than it is right now. So do us both a favor: Donate that old trench and buy yourself a new one. You’ll be amazed at how a good trench coat is able to pull a look together.

Say it with me: A trench coat is not a rain coat.

It can be. But you’re a modern boss woman of a certain age and you should have a coat per occasion. For the same reason you don’t use 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner, you should not treat your trench coat as your rain coat.

Don’t know where to begin? Here are some tips for finding the perfect trench.

Contrary to popular opinion, I don’t think you need to spend a small fortune on outerwear. While this trench has been a long standing favorite of mine, I’ve rounded up a few other options that are less than $300.
