Repair Damaged Hair

It’s taken me approximately 12 years and hundreds of dollars to figure out the perfect formula to repair damaged hair. Who knew it was as simple as finding the right brand!? Hair health has been a long standing issue for me since I started lightening my hair; I started seeing the true damaging effects of small things like heat, styling, and using the wrong products on my hair early on and I’ve spent a lot of time trying to remedy the issue. Finding the right stylist is a huge part of the puzzle but finding the right products to use at home is the key.

I’ve never been one to pass up testing new beauty products so when Hair Cuttery asked me to try out some of Cibu‘s REPAIR products, I jumped at the chance. I’d been in the market for a new shampoo and conditioner and since this line promises to restore and protect damaged hair, I was excited to give it a go.

The shampoo and conditioner I currently use on the daily is amazing but it’s a purple shampoo (great for maintaining your blonde) and a little drying. I always end up adding a leave-in conditioner or hair oil to the ends and some days that’s a little too high maintenance. By adding this shampoo and conditioner pair from Cibu into my routine once a week, I’ve found that my hair is stronger with less split ends and overall has a healthier look and feel.

I’ve also fallen hard for their Argan Oil Treatment which I use to smooth out frizzy ends on Day 2 or Day 3 hair AND it smells absolutely incredible. Super lazy Day 4 hair? Post gym plans? Stinky dry shampoo? This argan oil is your new best friend. Pump a few drops into your palm, rub your hands together, then pull through the ends of your hair. Unless you’re using the oil as an at-home treatment I would advise against putting this stuff anywhere near your roots. Ends only!

It’s just that simple. The magic formula to repair damaged hair is a fortifying shampoo + conditioner combo like this Cibu REPAIR line plus a heat protectant and an argan oil for your ends.

Do you guys (especially blondes!) have any tips or tricks for maintaining healthy hair? I’d love to hear them in the comments section!

I think simple ways to improve your hair is to avoid to use blow dryer and shampoo too frequently (twice a week is best), add more fruit and vegetables to our diet, and try to use coconut oil for your hair. Hope everyone will get better hair!

As for me, I usually use virgin coconut oil once in a week as a substitute for my shampoo just to keep its shining texture.
You must try it too, its also affordable to use.
