Not all jumpsuits are created equal.
JUMPSUIT | MULES | CLUTCH | NECKLACES c/o LULU*S
I’ve learned many things throughout my love affair with this particular type of clothing; They tend to be rather man repelling, people are often confused as to how and why they’re worn to more formal events, and most importantly, the majority of the populous that doesn’t quite have a handle on how you’re able to go to the bathroom in less than 30 minutes. Practice makes perfect, friends.
A romper is not a jumpsuit is not a pantsuit. When I think romper, I think of a fun, casual cover-up you’re sporting at a post-beach day drinking event. And when I think of a pantsuit, my mind immediately goes to Hillary Clinton. Not quite the sartorial inspiration I look to when outfit planning for a formal rehearsal dinner. That leaves us with jumpsuits. Ahh, jumpsuits. From overalls to silk, I am telling you, it’s a rare occasion when a jumpsuit is not appropriate. Don’t believe me? Challenge accepted.
You best friend’s baby shower.
A first date. Yes, a first date.
Because you can’t get enough of that palm print.
A black tie wedding. Or this swooshy one.
The Kennedy Center/ a rehearsal dinner / formal Christmas party/ a Tuesday.
You get the point.
We’ve done the dress thing. And truth be told, sometimes they can be a little boring. Spice up your life with a jumpsuit that takes less than five minutes to style because HELLO, one article of clothing!! Want to be anywhere else than that family wedding? I bring you with good times via jumpsuit. Would rather be watching football and eating guac than heading out to that baby shower? Put your troubles aside and hop into that cute AF jumpsuit. Rethinking that Tinder date? Get that jumpsuit on and add an extra chunky necklace to get you through the first round of drinks.
Godspeed, sisters. In jumpsuits, I hope you shall trust.
