Ok, I’m kidding. But wasn’t it in 60s last week? This morning, I woke up to a cool 16 degrees outside and stood in my closet for a good 8 minutes realizing I hadn’t had to access the part of my brain where I took pants and layering into consideration. Gap skinnies, and oversized sweater, and patent pointed toe flats it is. With weather this biting, it’s easy to fall into the lazy all black erryday slum which, let’s be clear, is much different than the chic and put together all black eryyday vibe. Get ahead of yourself now and make sure your closet is stocked with chic winter pieces you’ll be excited to wear.
Knit hat – If you’re using the right hair products, (we’ll get to those later this week) slapping a hat on the situation ain’t no thing and keep a little serum in your bag to tame potential frizz.
Snow boots – A good pair of winter boots go a long way in this town, especially if you find yourself on the Metro more than once from November to March. This pair is practical, stylish, and under $100.
Weatherproof bag – This little guy has come in handy more times than I can count. At just under $50, it’s an essential for any time of year.
Blistex – Because your chapped lips don’t do that deep plum lipstick justice.
