What do you wear to a DC event hosted by Courtney Kerr? The Baublebar necklace named after her, of course. As you’ve probably noticed, here, here, & here, this guy has been on heavy repeat over the last few weeks. I’ve mentioned before that it goes with everything but it really does go with everything. Strapless jumpsuits, boatneck sweaters, v-neck tees, leather jackets, button down blouses, under a suit jacket, my Redskins snuggie. You name it, it works. This is one of those “stupid not to” investment pieces that I knew I’d always regret if I didn’t purchase. It’s gold + obnoxiously loud. Just my style. Thanks a mil to my Texas lady girl crush for bringing this stunner into my life. Between the deep side parts, matching neck wear, + same dress we sported in the same week, I think it’s safe to say this is my southern soul sister.
Distracted with putting outfits together & being on time for a handful of events that started at the end of last week & went into Sunday evening, I realized yesterday afternoon that my two year blogging anniversary was this past Sunday. It’s crazy to think back on everything that’s happened in the past two years: All of the opportunities that I’ve been fortunate enough to take part in, how much I’ve learned about myself through this blog of mine, & how many amazing women I’ve been able to meet through this creative channel. I had no idea that when I started District Sparkle it would turn into what it has become but I’m so grateful that it has. Interacting with you is one of the best parts of my day & I’m so thankful that you’ve let me into your life! Thank you so much for reading & here’s to at least two more years!
