Turtlenecks are no longer the frumpy ‘mom’ top to pair with high waisted, loosing fitting jeans. They’re making a come back and unlike peplum, this is a trend that I can get on board with. Until 2 years ago, the only turtleneck you’d find me in was a long sleeved Underarmour HeatGear during football games. That was until I spotted a black Ralph Lauren turtleneck at Tysons that changed my life. A good turtleneck can take you places, people. So let’s walk through 5 super chic and easy looks that you can easily create, probably, from what’s already in your closet.

At the end of the day, it’s fa-rezzing in this city during the winter. Layering up is essential and it’s not always easy to look fashionable AND keep warm. Make it easy on yourself and pick one color to dress in then layer till your heart is content. Choose a crossbody purse that has a little hardware or keep that monochromatic look for a European vibe. Think about it: navy slacks, navy turtleneck, navy oversized coat, navy crossbody? GORG.
