casual east v west style outfit post weekend wear

[east v west style] festival

Violet Boutique top |  Old Navy vest | H&M shorts | Lulu’s boots c/o | Capwell necklace c/o

I’m a country concert girl, plain & simple. Early on, I tried to fight it with little luck. I blame Greg, my manager at the local pool I worked at for my deep rooted love of all things country. Although I’m less of a my-girl-left-me-took-my-dog-and-my-truck kinda country music gal & more this. Tell me that doesn’t make you want to jump in a sexy man’s pickup, windows down, & grill out all day long by a lake. Liar. I know you do.

I get my fair share of being hated on for my undying love for this genre but until you’ve tailgated & sat lawn at a Jiffy Lube Live country concert, you haven’t lived. On that note, I’m always looking for new friends to join our tailgate so if you’re a cut off jean wearin’, bud light lime drinkin’, country music lovin’ gal, drop me a line :)

I never quite know what I’ll get into once we’re out in VA so I always play it safe with jean cut offs & a kick ass pair of boots. I’m not a cowgirl, so you won’t find me in that type of boot or saying “y’all” anytime soon. I do, however, have a sick obsession with chunky ankle boots so you can bet I’ll be in those. Maxi dresses fall victim to being dragged in the mud, & there’s no chance of sitting like a lady on the lawn in a sundress. Toss on a tank & throw a jacket in the back for when it cools off at night.

I am definitely a city girl with a country heart. I love the outfit and you can believe I’ll be sipping on a beer at any countryfest with my jean vest, lace top, high waisted jeans, and ankle booties. :)

Latest faves. Want to wear them all the damn time but this weather is really putting a damper on open-toed anything. Sigh.

I totally get what you’re saying about country – I think you have to experience it to get it! Love this look. – Jennie

Hells yes, you have to experience it! I need to look into country concert friendly bags – my fanny pack isn’t cutting it anymore. Any ideas?

Great vest! It’s so versatile. You can dress it down or play it up with skinny jeans and heels.

So true. Also have a jacket version. Two of the best purchases I’ve ever made & both from Old Navy – great quality for a reasonable price!

GIRL. Promise you’re gonna visit me in Nashville. You haven’t LIVED until you’ve barhopped through the honky tonk bars. We’ll have a blast.
