Let’s call a spade a spade – DC summers are swampy. There’s no avoiding some kind of literal meltdown before October rolls around which is why I always have a stick of deodorant and a good bronzer in my bag.
Over the last 20 years I’ve probably come close to testing 50 bronzers during DC summers and have found two things to be true: Liquid bronzer is never the answer and you want to choose a compact with a little shimmer in it – it draws the eye away from the sweat pouring down your face.
For a quick meltdown fix, blot your face with whatever kind of paper towel your workplace is stocked with then add a little bronzer to the situation. I like to sweep it along my cheekbone into my hair line and around my temples into my hair line. This way, you’re adding a little glow to your face and contouring at the same time.
